My Honda Integra DC2 Road Legal Track Car Project.

Background

I have owned the pre facelift EK9 since late 2008 and I have wanted some track action but do not want to change the EK9 or risk track damage, so I had to look for another car. My brother was changing from a UKDM DC2 to a JDM DC2 so I bought his UKDM DC2 minus the higher mileage B18C6 (which found a good home) because I already had a spare low mileage B18C4 with plans for altered internals to maintain high reliability and slightly more cost and time efficient maintainance, important for track days. The intention of the DC2 project is to be a quick and good handling, naturally aspirated road legal track car. To be realistic I am looking for a great road and race car that's great fun to drive and high on the power to weight ratio to make it lively! It is still going to take a lot of time and money but I don't want to compromise. The main use of the car will be as a track circuit car. I intend on undertaking an advanced driving course or two and taking circuit racing as a serious path of fun (to use an oxymoron!).

I will be assisted by James 'Tegboy' - his self-built track B18C6 EK9 was Banzai magazine's car of the year and he featured in Aatomotion's UKDM documentary
